What Is ProCure 24?
ProCure 24 (P24) is the NHS and healthcare construction framework embedded within the CCS CWAS3 framework as Lot 4. It replaces ProCure 23 (RM6267), which was the previous standalone NHS construction procurement route. The integration of ProCure 24 into CWAS3 means that healthcare construction is now procured through the same framework as general construction, civil engineering, defence, and nuclear projects.
ProCure 24 covers health sector construction projects across England and is structured across three sub-lots: projects under £50 million, projects between £50 million and £150 million, and projects over £150 million. NHS trusts, integrated care boards, and other health sector contracting authorities use ProCure 24 to procure new hospital builds, healthcare facility refurbishments, diagnostic centres, community health hubs, and mental health facilities.
For healthcare contractors and FM providers that held places on ProCure 23, it is essential to understand that existing placements do not carry over. You must submit a new application through the CWAS3 ITT process to secure a place on ProCure 24.
Cyber Essentials Plus Required
Lot 4 (ProCure24) requires Cyber Essentials Plus certification. This is a higher standard than the Cyber Essentials basic certificate required for other CWAS3 lots. If you do not currently hold Cyber Essentials Plus, you should initiate the certification process now to ensure compliance.
