Fixed fee, five working days

Framework Route Review: which frameworks are worth your time

The Framework Route Review is a fixed-fee, five-working-day piece of work for a supplier that does not yet know which public sector frameworks to pursue. You receive a written map of the two or three routes worth your time, when each opens, which lots fit your turnover and evidence, and the gaps to close before applying. £950, no obligation to instruct us afterwards.

Why this exists

About a third of the enquiries we receive do not name a tender. They ask which frameworks a business like theirs should be on, how to get on the list, or what the process is. The honest answer is usually two or three specific routes and a set of dates, and it takes a director a working day to produce properly. Sending that as a free email helped nobody: the supplier got pointers without a plan, and we could not do it for everyone who asked.

So this is the plan, priced. You get the written map. What you do with it is up to you.

What the report contains

One page per recommended route. For each: the framework name and reference (for example G-Cloud 15, RM6396 Public Sector Software Solutions, Pagabo Refit and Refurbishment, NHS SBS Public Sector Construction Works 2), who runs it, whether it is open now or when the Government Commercial Agency or the framework operator expects it to open, the lots that fit your turnover and delivery evidence, the pass or fail gates (financial standing, insurance, accreditations, policies), and whether buyers can award directly from it or must run a further competition.

A gap list: the accreditations, policies, case studies and financial evidence you would need in place before applying, in the order to get them, with a realistic timeline.

A recommendation: which one route to prepare for first, and why. If the truthful answer is that no framework is worth your money this year and open tenders are the better route, the report says so.

How it works

Day 0: you confirm by email and we send the invoice and a short document request. Day 1 or 2: a 30 minute Teams call with a director to understand what you deliver, where, and for whom. Day 3 to 5: we check the live position of every candidate framework against the operator and Find a Tender, not against a consultancy blog, and write the report. Day 5: the report is with you, with a 20 minute call to walk through it if you want one.

If you then instruct us to prepare an application, that is a separate fixed-fee proposal quoted on the scope the report has just defined. There is no obligation to.

Who it is for

Software and technology firms deciding between G-Cloud 15, RM6396 and sector frameworks such as YPO or Procurement for Housing. Care providers deciding which local authority and NHS routes to register on. Construction and fit-out contractors deciding between Pagabo, NHS SBS, CCS and regional frameworks. Overseas suppliers entering the UK public sector for the first time. Any business that has been told to "get on a framework" and does not yet know which one.

Who should apply?

Book the review if any of these describe you:

You have asked a consultancy "which frameworks should we go for" and received a list rather than a decision
You have been named on a pipeline notice or invited to market engagement and do not know whether to respond
You have lost a framework application and do not know whether it was the wrong framework or the wrong evidence
You are entering the UK public sector from Ireland, the EU or further afield and need the routes mapped before you spend money

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Framework Route Review cost?

£950, fixed, invoiced on instruction and payable within seven days. There is no success fee, no retainer and no obligation to instruct Glaxtons on any application that follows.

How long does it take?

Five working days from receipt of your inputs: turnover or accounts, a service list, three delivered projects and your accreditations. The 30 minute scoping call happens in the first two days.

What if we already have a live tender?

Then this is the wrong product. A live tender with a deadline needs a scoping call today, not a report in five days. Call 020 3668 5488 or send us the deadline and we will come back with a Teams time.

Will the report tell us which frameworks are open right now?

Yes, and it distinguishes between open, expected with a published date, and to be confirmed. For example, as at 7 September 2026 G-Cloud 15 is an open framework, while the Government Commercial Agency lists the RM6396 Public Sector Software Solutions tender notice as to be confirmed. We check each route against the operator and Find a Tender on the day we write.

What happens after the report?

You decide. If you instruct Glaxtons on an application, we quote a separate fixed fee against the scope the report defines. If you take it in-house, the gap list is your work plan. Either way the report is yours.

Stop guessing which framework to chase

Email info@glaxtons.co.uk with your turnover, what you deliver and where, or call 020 3668 5488. We will confirm the £950 fee by return, send the document request, and have the written map with you within five working days.
